PANTONE COLOR FOR SPRING: DUSK BLUE

Every year The Pantone Institute develops a list of color trends for the upcoming fashion season. These colors transcend into the world of interior design as well. We've all heard that Emerald is Pantone's Color of the Year but what about the other wonderful hues we can expect to see?

First up - DUSK BLUE. This is a muted blue with a calming sense of serenity much like its green counterpart, Grayed Jade. Both of these colors act as the season's newest neutrals, along with Linen of course, to the other vibrant colors in this Spring's spectrum.

STRUTTING WITH PEACOCK...

I don't recalled if I've mentioned that I am a BIG fan of anything peacock - from the feather to the color. Teal is one of my favorite colors, along with purple and red.

What girl wouldn't love this peacock inspired trinket?

As with most good things, a little goes a long way. Still peacock can have a commanding (and well deserved) presence, so don't overdo it or a room can start to look kitschy.  Accents are a great way to incorporate a little peacock...
